Weekly Wrap-Up

I ate this for lunch twice this week! Thanks, Melanie . The forecast is predicting sunshine this weekend. Maybe even enough to lay out? I'll be short one husband on Saturday so while it makes me a little sad... I'm welcoming the weekend with open arms and am sure I can find a few, little  projects  to keep me busy. Bloglove: * The hubs and I will definitely be attending this this weekend. * Loving this take on how the villains of our adolescence would look if they were alive today. * Come and visit me in LaLa Land ... * Eggs are awesome... and so are these great things you can do with them for Easter. * Come on, weather! It's  short-wearing time ! *  A really sweet moment . * Oh, to be a  princess . And OMG... Cannot wait for this movie! Have a lovely weekend! xo

{postagram} LOVE

I am absolutely in love with my  postagram  app! It's so much fun sending personalized postcards to my loved ones, far away. My favorite part, they also print the message on the back of the photo so when you pop it out you'll always have that little note.  I sent these in an effort to tempt my parents to come out to Los Angeles for a visit. I'm completely addicted... keep your eyes peeled, you might even find one in your mailbox soon. xo

~Kate Checks In~

Just before the world-famous Hotel Ritz in Paris closed its doors for an unprecedented two-year renovation, Kate Moss checked in one last time for an amazing photo shoot with Tim Walker for Vogue. Guests recall their fondest memories of the beloved hotel, often the host to Paris fashion week. I've never been to the Ritz myself but these photos accompanied by the dreamy stories have definitely added it to my bucket list. One thing is for sure, you can't deny that this place is its own work of art with an equally intriguing history . xo

KEEP CALM...

Had to share this piece of brilliance . The best variation of the Keep Calm craze  ever ! xo

LOUKOUMADES {Greek Donuts}

The lovely, Crystal of  Wabi Sabi  and I recently teamed up to create and photograph my favorite Greek treat: Loukoumades. :: On My Reading List ::

This time of year you will often find me with my nose in a book. There's just something about springtime that makes me want to lay outside and read to my heart's content. But alas, I have a confession to make... my bookshelf is full of purchased volumes whose bindings have yet to be broken. Therefore, I've made myself a promise to try  as hard as I can  to pull a novel off of my bookshelf instead of buying something new. With that said, here's my spring/summer (maybe into fall/winter) reading list... I'm actually kind of embarrassed that I haven't read some of these yet! I have a habit of re-reading my favorite books over and over again instead of picking up something new. What's on your reading list? xo

Weekly Wrap-Up

Spring is starting to pop up around here and I can't get enough ! My first week back to work was super busy but I actually really liked getting back into the grind. Looking forward to a weekend bike ride, perhaps a lazy afternoon sitting outside at the coffee shop, baking something sweet for my sweetie and if it's nice enough, hopefully some time laying in the sun. Bloglove: * Erin & Stefanie show how to properly set your table with their sweet dishes. * The cutest "sunshine" project ever from Hula Seventy. * I so want to visit this little puppy shop ! * Wit & Delight shared a cozy new spring line from Bren . * The yummiest-looking  waffle concoctions ever! * Joanna shares the most amazing letter from John Steinbeck regarding love. *  Mayram  is just too cute. This trailer is both awesome and hilarious... Have a great weekend! xo

Chicken Souvlaki with Tzatziki Sauce & Oven Potatoes

As a Greek household, chicken souvlaki is a family favorite especially as the days begin getting warmer and longer and we spend more time outside. This souvlaki recipe is inspired by  Seemingly Greek  and is really yummy with my mother's tzatziki sauce. CHICKEN SOUVLAKI 1 1/2 lb. chicken, cubed 2-4 red & green peppers, cubed 2 lemons 4 cloves garlic, finely minced 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil 2 Tbs. red wine vinegar 1 1/2 tsp. oregano 1 tsp. thyme salt & ground pepper 4 wooden skewers Soak the skewers in water for about 20 minutes to prevent scorching. Cube the chicken  and peppers into 1 inch pieces . Alternate the chicken and peppers on the skewers and place them in a shallow dish. In a bowl, combine all remaining ingredients and pour over skewers. Let marinate in the fridge for at least 4 hours, turning once. Grill Souvlaki skewers over medium to low heat, basting with the remaining marinade. Cook both sides evenly until center is white and juicy. MOM'S TZA...

[sunday bike rides]

I really, really, really love our Sunday bike rides. We always stop by Starbucks for a little coffee (I love my cup holder ) and sometimes visit the used bike shop down the street and admire the vintage bicycles. I don't know what it is but that rolled up pant leg is such a turn on! I know... I'm weird, but what can I say? I love the guy. I'm really loving this warmer weather. Do you have any fun traditions? xo Sécia F O L L O W    U S   O N    I N S T A G R A M   ::    @seciasophia
