I'm still here...

Happy Halloween! It's been one hell of an October but things look to be finally dying down a bit. I have so much to share with everyone! Photos from our trip to New York, adventures with visiting family and zombie cupcakes. For now I'll leave you with this... (I think another trip may be in order) xoxo

SoHo

:::polaroid sx-70 land camera on  color shade film ::: I have so many photos from our trip to New York that I want to share but I've been so busy, I haven't had a single moment to myself. Here's a taste of one of my favorite areas. SoHo was amazing. More to come, I promise! xoxo

Hula Seventy on Display

While in New York last week, we made sure to stop by The IMPOSSIBLE Project's "Outside The Lines" exhibition in SoHo. I specifically wanted to check out Andrea from Hula Seventy's stunning photograph along with the many other lovely polaroids on display. That's Andrea's on the top left. I also fell in love with a particular camera that ended up being my birthday present (thank you, Ben!) which I will share with you all soon. Here's a peak at the first photo I took with it from the gallery window of the street below. I love this city. xoxo

SPOOKY GRAVEYARD

This Halloween we turned our front garden into a spooky graveyard complete with strobe lights and fog. The goal? Scare the crap out of trick-or-treaters. I love Halloween. Have you decorated for Halloween this year? What spooky things are around your house? xoxo

Weekly Wrap-Up

Isn't Ben dreamy? This weekend will be spent getting ready for our trip to New York! We seriously can't wait to experience this city for the first time  together and I can't think of a better way to spend my 30th birthday. I'm counting down the days until we fly away... Blogland: *  Spencer and Kylie  make me dream of growing old with my husband. * A reminder that it's the little  bits and pieces  that truly make life worth living. * I'm still dreaming about  this  goat cheese and cherry ice cream. * Rachell reminds me why I am so in love with  Adrien Brody . * Totally jealous of Dana's  sexy experience  with Ty Pennington. And Steve Jobs takes his rightful place in the Crazy Ones ad thanks to Adweek... Have a lovely weekend! xoxo

GOAT CHEESE & CHERRY ICE CREAM via Wabi Sabi

Okay. So this ice cream is to die for! Sounds weird right? Goat cheese? Cherries? It's amazing. I was visiting my friend, Crystal from Wabi Sabi , the other day and she had just finished shooting photos of her ice cream concoctions, one of which was this amazing creamy-cheesy-cherry bliss. Isn't her photo stunning? You can find her simple version of the recipe here . Don't forget to check out her other yummy creations complete with mouth-watering photos. Nom. xoxo

How to Make a Tissue Ghost

Do you remember making ghosts out of tissue when you were a kid? I still think they're the cutest things ever especially when you make a bunch and hang them everywhere. They're super easy to make and you probably have everything you need to make them with already laying around the house. 2 pieces of tissue, a black marker, ribbon or string roll one tissue into a ball. place the rolled tissue in the center of the second tissue. fold the second tissue over the rolled one. twist the second tissue to secure the rolled one in place. tie the ribbon around the twist leaving one end long. flip over so the bow-side is facing down. with the marker, draw two small dots for the eyes and a larger one for the mouth. Use the long end of the ribbon to hang your ghosts. This will help to achieve maximum floating effect. Have fun! xoxo
