~Kate Checks In~

Just before the world-famous Hotel Ritz in Paris closed its doors for an unprecedented two-year renovation, Kate Moss checked in one last time for an amazing photo shoot with Tim Walker for Vogue. Guests recall their fondest memories of the beloved hotel, often the host to Paris fashion week. I've never been to the Ritz myself but these photos accompanied by the dreamy stories have definitely added it to my bucket list. One thing is for sure, you can't deny that this place is its own work of art with an equally intriguing history.

    Anyways. I always adore Vogue shoots featuring Kate Moss. They always turn out fabulously stunning. A feast for the eyes. Maybe it's her iconic influence. Not to take anything away from Mr Walker.

Palm Springs Iconic Home Tour

As some of you may know, this week is Modernism Week in Palm Springs, California and we had the unique opportunity of touring the newly named historic site, the Menrad House, designed by William Krisel. It was the perfect balance of casual flow and minimalist simplicity. All I can say is I wanted to move in right then and there. Loving this retro design and those clerestory windows allowing for all of that natural light without sacrificing ones privacy. That artwork is fantastic and the bedding in that master bedroom...  love . This patio cover is to die for. A genius way to provide a bit of shade without feeling closed in. The design is so simple but the overall effect is absolutely stunning. Apparently, these homes sold so fast that a brochure was never even produced to promote them. Chai Tea Coffee

I've been having a love affair with my french press lately. There's just something kinda awesome about pouring in the water and watching the tea or coffee swirl around and brew. And don't even get me started on how much I love pressing down the grounds or leaves {yeah… I know that's pretty weird}. The other day I was craving coffee but realized I had run out of milk (which is a must if I'm having coffee). Dilemma? Nope! I thought, why not just brew my favorite tea with a bit of coffee too! I've had a " dirty chai " before and they're not half bad.  OMG this concoction was soooooo good! Just mix 1 heaping scoop of  White Ayurvedic Chai with  1 scoop of your favorite coffee. Add water and strain (or get that everlasting enjoyment out of pressing that french press like I do!).
