I walked into my office this morning to find...
...ZOMBIE SHOOTING GALLERY & The Zombie Autopsies!

Jenny, my work buddy and the sweetest girl ever, surprised me with the best gift ever. It's battery operated and comes complete with a laser gun! Gotta get my practice on for when the real zombie apocalypse comes. It's taking everything within my power to keep the book nerd in me from reading The Zombie Autopsies right freakin' now! But I must get back to work as all good things are worth waiting for. I ♥ you, Jenny.

    My bf would love this!! The waking dead or walking the dead.. That tv series with Andrew Lincoln has just been released in the uk about 3 weeks ago and we are addicted!

    hah, my husband would pretty much love this! he already has that zombie book, but i'm not sure if I should encourage him or not. maybe i will for kicks and giggles :)

Palm Springs Iconic Home Tour

As some of you may know, this week is Modernism Week in Palm Springs, California and we had the unique opportunity of touring the newly named historic site, the Menrad House, designed by William Krisel. It was the perfect balance of casual flow and minimalist simplicity. All I can say is I wanted to move in right then and there. Loving this retro design and those clerestory windows allowing for all of that natural light without sacrificing ones privacy. That artwork is fantastic and the bedding in that master bedroom...  love . This patio cover is to die for. A genius way to provide a bit of shade without feeling closed in. The design is so simple but the overall effect is absolutely stunning. Apparently, these homes sold so fast that a brochure was never even produced to promote them. DIY // Super Cute Pom Poms

This is probably the most fun (and the most addictive ) DIY ever! I seriously made these for days while watching holiday movies on the couch. They're actually pretty easy too! The more you make, the better you get at making them! Here's what you need: Yarn A fork (yes... a fork!) Scissors Step 1 Loosely wrap the yarn around the fork about 70-90 times. The thinner the yarn, the more you'll end up needing to wrap. Tip: It's important to keep it loose to make it easier to work with in the next steps. Step 2 Thread another piece of yarn through the center of the fork and tie a double-knot creating a bow-like shape. Remove from the fork and flip the ball over and double-knot the back as well. Tip: Double-knotting both sides will ensure the pom pom doesn't fall apart as you begin to shape it. Step 3 Cut all the loops on both sides. You'll see it now starting to look more like a pom pom!
