DIY // Super Cute Pom Poms

This is probably the most fun (and the most addictive ) DIY ever! I seriously made these for days while watching holiday movies on the couch. They're actually pretty easy too! The more you make, the better you get at making them! Here's what you need: Yarn A fork (yes... a fork!) Scissors Step 1 Loosely wrap the yarn around the fork about 70-90 times. The thinner the yarn, the more you'll end up needing to wrap. Tip: It's important to keep it loose to make it easier to work with in the next steps. Step 2 Thread another piece of yarn through the center of the fork and tie a double-knot creating a bow-like shape. Remove from the fork and flip the ball over and double-knot the back as well. Tip: Double-knotting both sides will ensure the pom pom doesn't fall apart as you begin to shape it. Step 3 Cut all the loops on both sides. You'll see it now starting to look more like a pom pom! Step 4 Cut the edges to shape it into a ball. Tip: Use the s...

Homemade Old-Fashioned Bubble Bath

I never take baths… Never!  But I had some muscle aches the other night and thought… what the hell, let's give it a try. Problem: this non-bath-taking-girl had no bubble bath on hand and I'm pretty sure bubbles are a must when it comes to time in the tub. Soooo, a quick google search and bam ! Homemade bubble bath in minutes. And guess what- I'M AND IDIOT! Bubble baths are amazing! Pretty sure this is happening at least once a week from now on. P.S. Rubber duckies are so lucky. xo Sécia F O L L O W    U S   O N    I N S T A G R A M   ::    @seciasophia

LA Winter

I recently spent the day cozying up with the lovely Crystal of Crystal Cartier Photography . I love gloomy, winter days curled up with a hot cup of tea and a good book. LA winter days are even better because you can spend them outside!  Check out her yummy blog here .  It's always a blast shooting with Crystal! P.S. Get a load of those  leg warmers! xo Sécia F O L L O W    U S   O N    I N S T A G R A M   ::    @seciasophia

so cozy {I could die}

We're currently in the last stages of our living room and it's oh so sweet making those finishing touches. My heart skips a beat when I look at these inspiring spaces and it makes me just want to cuddle up with a good (dirty) book and sink in to my heart's content. Next step... the den. Now that's where I get to go really crazy! xo Links to these and more pretty spaces here .

True Romance

{flash!} A most memorable evening ( surrounded by dead people! ) watching one of my favorite flicks. A palm tree lined sky, prosciutto, wine and cheese and True Romance . The Hollywood Forever Cemetery has become one of my favorite LA spots! It was a total blast laughing and cheering my favorite scenes with the crowd.  The perfect way to say goodbye to brilliant director, Tony Scott, with not only an introduction to the film by his wife but also a special surprise at the end when a teary-eyed Patricia Arquette made an unexpected speech. Ben had only seen the movie once years ago when we first started dating so for him, it was like watching a whole new film and it was super-cute witnessing his reactions.  A personal highlight for me... his tapping me on the shoulder in the middle of the movie and gesturing to a brightly-lit  statue , the tombstone of Johnny Ramone. I freakin' love this town. He caught a little video snippet of Patricia too! xo

an afternoon in the park

We thought we'd take advantage of the lovely weather so we grabbed the pup, stopped by the store for some yummy essentials and headed to the park for a picnic. We found a quiet spot in the shade of a huge tree, gave Cooper a bone and just laid back and enjoyed a lazy afternoon. It's moments like these that make me thankful for my life and the people I share it with. xo

Vintage Caravan Love :: PART 2

We shared  PART 1  of the super cute caravans from Palm Springs Modernism Week but these ones are truly one-of-a-kind. They're crazy cool and true works of art.  This completely restored caravan is truly amazing. Don't you just love the deco feel? This 1965 Airstream Safari has been transformed into a rolling editing bay designed to serve the television and film industry. Equipped with a 42" HD TV, 4G Hot Spot, Mac Mini and Apple TV, this baby is like a modern house on wheels. Look at that kitchen complete with wine fridge, coffee machine and bar! This custom Decoliner designed by Randy Grubb is crazy! The chassis is from a 1973 GMC motorhome, the engine from a 455 Olds. and the front cab is from a 1950 "White" C.O.E. tanker. And yes, you can drive it from the top! And for those of you wanting the vintage feel along with that brand new smell, have no fear.  Airstream  is still in production and these guys are still rolling off the assem...
