DIY // Super Cute Pom Poms

This is probably the most fun (and the most addictive ) DIY ever! I seriously made these for days while watching holiday movies on the couch. They're actually pretty easy too! The more you make, the better you get at making them! Here's what you need: Yarn A fork (yes... a fork!) Scissors Step 1 Loosely wrap the yarn around the fork about 70-90 times. The thinner the yarn, the more you'll end up needing to wrap. Tip: It's important to keep it loose to make it easier to work with in the next steps. Step 2 Thread another piece of yarn through the center of the fork and tie a double-knot creating a bow-like shape. Remove from the fork and flip the ball over and double-knot the back as well. Tip: Double-knotting both sides will ensure the pom pom doesn't fall apart as you begin to shape it. Step 3 Cut all the loops on both sides. You'll see it now starting to look more like a pom pom! Step 4 Cut the edges to shape it into a ball. Tip: Use the s...

DIY // Candy Cane Reindeer

YAY! IT'S CHRISTMAS TIME! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! I'M SOOO EXCITED! AHHHHH!!! Okay... Do you remember these??? As a kid, I remember how much I loved making these at Christmas time. It was like my favorite thing EVER ! They're so easy too (even for the kiddos) and you can't help but smile the entire time.  What You Need: Candy canes Pipe cleaners Googly eyes Pom poms Scissors Glue Tape (optional) Literally everything can be found on Amazon or at Michaels. So easy already! Start with the ANTLERS: Then comes the FACE!  (Tip: I like to tape the candy cane down to the table with the curve facing upward for this part. That way it's easier to attached the eyes and nose and to let them dry without falling over) Now for the tough part... to Rudolph or not to Rudolph. It really comes down to personal preference but I'm a believer that there should at least be one in the bunch! And there you have it! The cutest freaking holida...

DIY // Gift Basket for Someone Special

I really wanted to do something fun and sweet for my bestie and what better than a box of things she loves created by you?! Not to mention it's tons of fun finding little things that you know will make her smile and then putting them all together in a cute crate or basket. It all started with a super inspirational book that I just couldn't put down and I really wanted to pass it along to her and it just expanded into a basket of goodies to brighten her day. If you haven't read  The Year of Cozy by Adrianna Adarme and are in need of an inspirational pick-me-up then this book is a  must ! I feel like she's my own personal cheerleader, who I've never met, pushing me to be a better version of myself. LOVE her! Now for the rest of the goodies. I like to stick to a few simple rules but really, anything you put in there is gonna be awesome because it came from you ! 1. Start building the box with the largest items in the back and work your way forward with ...

DIY // White and Gold Pumpkins

October is finally here and the Halloween decorating is in full swing! We decided to class it up this year with some super chic white and gold pumpkins for a more modern flair. This super easy DIY literally took me half a day with dry time! They turned out so awesome that I almost want to keep them out year round (but I won't because that would just be ridiculous... wouldn't it? ...)! What you need: plastic pumpkins (you can find some at Target or Home Depot) 1 can each of white, gold and clear gloss spray paint painter's tape cardboard (or alternative painting surface) felt feet (optional) What to do: 1. Clean pumpkins with a dry cloth and remove all stickers, tags and light bulbs or cords. 2. In a properly ventilated area, spray two coats of gold on the stems of the pumpkins with at least 20 minutes of dry time between coats. 3. When gold paint is dry enough, tape off the stem for the white coat. Make sure all of the gold is covered so you don't get...

Raspberry Preserve Ice Cream

We're staying true to summer over here in LA... (it's not over yet!!! )... so we had to share our super easy Raspberry Preserve Vanilla Ice Cream recipe! When I say easy, I mean easy ! Not to mention so subtly delicious too! I used my airy Vanilla Ice Cream recipe as a base and then added some flair! Ingredients 2 cups heavy whipping cream 2 cups milk 3/4 cup sugar 1/2 cup raspberry preserves 2 cups chocolate chips (optional) 2 teaspoons vanilla flavor pinch of salt Instructions Mix cream, milk, sugar, vanilla and salt together and stir until sugar completely dissolves. Pour into your ice cream maker and mix for about 30 minutes or until you reach your desired consistency. Slowly add in the raspberry preserves so they don't freeze in too large of clumps. Slowly melt the chocolate chips in the microwave. Tip: Small time increments with lots of stirring in-between works best and keeps the chips from burning. D rizzle chocolate into the churning ice cream maker...

This is the easiest recipe to add a little fun (and some awesome flavor) to your dessert. Even better, the possibilities are endless! Sprinkles, chopped nuts, peppermint chips (for the holidays!) or just straight up chocolate goodness, it's all good! Ingredients 6 sugar cones 2 cups chocolate chips 1 cup chopped pistachios 1 cup chopped almonds rainbow sprinkles Chop all of your nuts ahead of time. I use my trusted Slap Chop (those infomercials are amazing ). Slowly melt the chocolate chips in the microwave. Tip: Small time increments with lots of stirring in-between works best and keeps the chips from burning. Dip cones in chocolate and shake off all excess. Tip: Try to remove the chocolate from the inside of the cone to avoid it ultimately being super hard to bite into. Hold cone over a bowl and sprinkle with nuts...

Birthday Cake Pancakes

Yes... you read that right! BIRTHDAY. CAKE. PANCAKES!!! These are crazy delicious and crazy sweet ! Perfect for my hubby who loves all things Birthday cake. I stumbled upon the original recipe awhile back and knew I had to make these for his Birthday. We made them together and changed it up a bit to create what we think is the best Birthday concoction EVER! Cake Ingredients 1 1/2 cups flour 2/3 cup yellow cake mix 1 1/2 cups milk 1/2 tsp baking powder 1 tsp vanilla 2 eggs pinch of salt rainbow bead sprinkles Combine flour, cake mix, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Add milk, egg and vanilla and mix with a fork until smooth. TIP : you might want to start with only half the milk and gradually add the rest as needed to make sure the batter doesn't become too runny. Different cake mixes vary in moisture. Sprinkle in the rainbow sprinkles and swirl them into the batter. Heat a pancake skillet over medium heat on the stove with a touch of butter so the batter doesn...
