I realize my voice is small in this online world that we live in but I absolutely had to share this, even if it only reaches a few individuals. I've seen this problem pop up here and there on Instagram (anyone see that complete ripoff of BanannaBones ' gap-tooth design by Forever21?) and I've realized that in order to stop this "design plagiarism" of large retailers ripping off the small business artist, we need to stop shopping at the stores (allegedly) committing the crimes. We decided to get outta dodge last weekend for a temporary escape from the brutal fire near Los Angeles so we packed up the pup and headed for an adventure to the Cabazon Dinosaurs ! Remember this funky place from Pee-wee's Big Adventure ? Aside from the scorching 104 degree heat (no joke!), it was pretty awesome checking out the massive T-Rex. I even ventured inside, climbing up the inside of his belly until I reached his jaws (just like Pee-wee!). It was hot... like ridiculously hot... but totally worth it. Truly one of the weirdest roadside attractions. Ok, this is seriously the yummiest smoothie and the perfect breakfast for anyone on the go. I kind of stole this recipe from my favorite downtown LA juice and smoothie joint: Kashi Deli Cafe . It's their "Morning Boost Smoothie" and it's crazy delicious! The bonus... it's completely dairy free!! Ingredients 2(ish) cups almond milk 1 medium banana 1/2 cup oats 1 tbs agave 2 tsp cinnamon crushed ice Instructions Blend all ingredients in a mixer or bullet until creamy. Note: I usually don't measure my ingredients out, I just kind of throw them all together so if you want more cinnamon or less agave or whatever, the sky is the limit! These smoothies totally remind me of cinnamon toast crunch (my favorite cereal) or cinnamon oatmeal. Creamy, sweet, healthy and delicious! Enjoy! xo Sécia Check out our other recipes here !
